The Rohrer College of Business invites applications for the position of Graduate Program Director.

 

Position Summary

The Graduate Program Director reports to the Dean of the Rohrer College of Business (RCB) and is responsible for all RCB graduate programs.  Programs include an online and on-ground MBA program, an MS in Finance, and three graduate certificate programs, plus several additional programs under development.

 

The Graduate Program Director takes the leadership role in developing new programs that capitalize on regional and national trends in the graduate education market.  He/she is a member of the RCB Leadership Team and serves as chair of the College Graduate Committee.  He/she leads the graduate curriculum change process.

 

The Graduate Program Director manages program operations, including course scheduling, program coordination, graduate student orientation, student advising, and student/alumni networking events.  He/she actively participates in graduate recruiting initiatives, approves RCB graduate admission applications, and evaluates and authorizes applications for graduation.

 

The Graduate Program Director is responsible for maintaining the RCB graduate catalog, website, newsletter, and promotional materials.  He/she provides and coordinates data collection and reporting for AACSB accreditation, The Princeton Review, U.S. News and World Report and other media outlets in which MBA and other graduate programs are normally featured.

 

Pursuing a growth oriented and innovation focused strategic plan, RCB is housed in a new, state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot building that features a Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Center for Responsible Leadership, and Center for Professional Development.

 

RCB is comprised of three academic departments: Accounting and Finance; Management and Entrepreneurship; Marketing and Business Information Systems offering eight undergraduate degree programs, as well as a 36-credit general MBA (https://www.academics.rowan.edu/business). The three academic departments include 46 full time tenure track faculty and a college of 2000 students. The RCB is accredited by the AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in a related field required
  • The successful candidate will have three or more years of academic leadership experience; experience with graduate business programs is strongly preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills Desired

  • Knowledge of graduate business programs and trends
  • Experience with graduate student recruiting
  • Ability to develop and implement a dynamic strategic plan with measurable outcomes
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Experience with the AACSB accreditation process
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of Rowan University stakeholders including students, faculty and staff, alumni, and business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills – including consultative, negotiating, and group presentation skills

The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.
