The Rohrer College of Business of Rowan University welcomes applications for an Assistant Dean to join the College July 1, 2018.

Reporting to the Rohrer College of Business (RCB) Dean, and working in close collaboration with the Associate Dean and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies, the Assistant Dean fills a key managerial role within the College and serves as the primary College level contact and resource for undergraduate students.  The Assistant Dean oversees College operations including program coordination; course scheduling; and undergraduate student orientation, advising, career services, clubs, and workers.  The RCB Center for Professional Development falls under the Assistant Dean. The Assistant Dean plays a key support role in the AACSB accreditation process, with a focus on record keeping and data analysis.  The Assistant Dean interfaces frequently with faculty, staff, other administrative offices, and the business community, including serving as the liaison to the RCB Alumni Advisory Council.  

Pursuing a growth oriented and innovation focused strategic plan, RCB is housed in a new, state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot building that features a Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Center for Responsible Leadership, and Center for Professional Development.

RCB is comprised of three academic departments: Accounting and Finance; Management and Entrepreneurship; Marketing and Business Information Systems offering eight undergraduate degree programs, as well as a 36-credit general MBA (https://www.academics.rowan.edu/business). The three academic departments include 46 full time tenure track faculty and a college of 2000 students. The RCB is accredited by the AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred

Experience with creating and implementing accreditation documentation preferred

Business administrative experience in higher education

Experience working with students to achieve success  

Excellent supervisory, organizational and training skills

Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work with people from a variety of culturally diverse background

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.
