  • Rowan University’s Division of University Advancement seeks a dynamic individual to serve as the Advancement Program Assistant. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Advancement Administration, the Advancement Program Assistant will support the Advancement Division’s growing fundraising, engagement and outreach needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the entire University Advancement Division in the creation and management of a range of initiatives, with an emphasis on targeted outreach and planning.
  • Serve as a liaison to all Advancement Offices to assist with developing reports that reflect progress toward Division goals and demonstrate ROI on Advancement initiatives.
  • Engage with internal and external constituents and follow up on projects and queries as needed.
  • Support research efforts for funding opportunities and assist in proposal development.
  • Develop relationships with colleagues throughout the University to expand opportunities for Advancement programming and collaboration.
  • Provide assistance by writing, reviewing and editing a range of materials including reports and other correspondence related to fundraising and engagement.
  • Develop methods to coordinate and manage data for various Division reports and projects.
  • Assist with the scholarship program in monitoring and enforcing adherence to scholarship thank you letter guidelines for student recipients.
  • Assist with the preparation of Foundation Board meeting material.
  • Work with Division colleagues to carry out strategies for projects to ensure they are planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for Advancement events as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous professional experience in a higher education or non-profit setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective time management skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated creativity and organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience.
  • Experience in academic fundraising environment is highly desirable.

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.
