The Department of Family Medicine at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey, is seeking a licensed psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) for a full-time faculty position.  The qualified candidate must possess experience in administration and delivery of primary patient care services in an inter-professional setting.  A secondary appointment to the Rowan University Psychology Department and supervision of Psychology PhD student is possible.

Primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide psychological assessment and evaluation of patient, treatment and referrals in the Mt. Laurel outpatient office.
  • Provide consultation to other clinical staff in the department as requested.
  • Adhere to standards and values of patient centered care.
  • Serve as Course Director for longitudinal pre-doctoral community service course.
    • Responsible for all aspects of course instruction including curricular development and maintenance, instruction and assessment.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with community partners.
  • Serve as Project Director for AHEC grant.
    • Responsible for success of key programmatic deliverables, including AHEC scholars program.
    • Liaison for the department with key grant partners including sites, faculty and granting agency.
    • Provide faculty development for AHEC grants and any related progress report submissions.
    • Conduct site visits to AHEC centers.
  • Participate in pre and post-doctoral training activities, education and feedback within the Department of Family Medicine.
  • Participate in teaching activities and staff development of the department.
  • Involvement in department, school and university committees.
  • Collaborate with ongoing research activities.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the department chairperson.


  • Must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited doctoral program.
  • Must be licensed in the State of New Jersey at the time of hire.
  • Must be a highly organized and creative problem-solver who values the importance of medical education, is an effective communicator and demonstrates excellence in interpersonal skills.  An interest in substance use counseling is preferred.
