The Office of Academic Support Programs is seeking a Program Assistant to aid in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed for Testing and Tutoring Services. This position will report to the Coordinator of Tutoring Services. This is a part-time hourly position, 25 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the implementation and delivery of all Testing and Tutoring Services programming.
  • Work with the Testing and Tutoring Coordinators to recruit, screen, and interview potential hires.
  • Assist in the collection of hiring paperwork and processing of employee records for new student workers.
  • Coordinate training sessions for all newly hired student workers each semester.
  • Aid in the design and implementation of training materials.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver workshops throughout the semester.
  • Maintain Testing and Tutoring Services databases, update records as needed.
  • Aid in the scheduling and implementation of department activities.
  • Collect and organize pertinent data related to the various programs.
  • Assist with Open Houses, Accepted Student Receptions, Orientations, and other campus-wide activities.
  • Provide oversight and supervision of Testing and Tutoring Center as needed.
  • Position may require some evening and weekend activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling in Educational Settings, or other relevant field preferred.  The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.
