This person will provide leadership and monitoring of support resources, community-building activities, designated space, social, personal, academic, and leadership support for underrepresented and marginalized students on campus. The Assistant Director ensures the BIPoC and Intercultural Center facilitates a greater responsiveness to the needs of underrepresented and marginalized students on campus through, programming, education, outreach, and advocacy. The Assistant Director engages with partners within and external to Rowan University and cultivates a co-curricular experiential learning environment to elevate the voices of students from underrepresented and marginalized communities to promote equity, inclusion, and belonging.
The Assistant Director will serve on the leadership team with the Director and Assistant Directors of SJICR, and assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to promote a campus climate that is inclusive and supportive of a diverse student population.
