A full-time Research Associate position is available in the lung pharmacology laboratory at Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, led by the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. Specifically, the lab focuses on themes of lung biology, corticosteroid resistance, glucocorticoid signaling, cytokine networks in lung cells and precision medicine (Durham A et al., Curr Pharm Des. 2011). The lab uses a wide variety of approaches and models to study glucocorticoid signaling, lung cell biology and pro-inflammatory cytokine gene expression. This role involves supporting studies and experiments in the laboratory, including western blot analysis, DNA and RNA isolations, PCR, qPCR, and cell culture in addition to maintaining a detailed daily experiment log, overseeing reagents inventory, ordering supplies, and contributing to general lab management and organization. |
