Rowan-Virtua Regional Integrated Special Needs Center at Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a licensed psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) for a full-time faculty position in our Southern New Jersey offices. The qualified candidate must possess a commitment to working with marginalized and underserved communities and experience in the administration & delivery of adult patient care services in an inter-professional setting.

To be successful as a psychologist, you should be an expert listener who is easy to talk to, and trustworthy. Top candidates will be people with a great passion for this field, keeping up to date with all the latest research developments.

Psychologist Responsibilities:

  • Using psychotherapy to improve the quality of life for individuals, groups, and families.
  • Testing and assessing patients for indications of mental health disorders.
  • Developing treatment plans and strategies to help patients.
  • Supporting patients who have experienced traumatic life events.
  • Providing ongoing care and evaluation to patients with long-term difficulties.
  • Referring patients to other specialists or doctors as needed.
  • Helping patients to set realistic goals and monitoring their progress.
  • Keeping up to date with, and potentially participating in, new research in psychology.

Psychologist Requirements:

  • Doctorate in psychology.
  • Relevant state license and board certification.
  • Experience working as a psychologist.
  • Strong listening, observation, and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical mindset.
  • Empathy and sensitivity when working with patients.
  • Expert diagnostic skills.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an accredited APA doctoral program.

Candidates must be licensed in the state of New Jersey at the time of hire.

Our clinical campus is located in Southern New Jersey, which is within the Philadelphia metropolitan area approximately eight miles from Center City Philadelphia, one hour from the Jersey Shore, an hour and a half from NYC, and two hours from Washington, DC.
