What will you be doing?
As an Admissions Counselor, you will:

Engage prospective students across multiple channels to provide information about Rowan Online programs and guide them through the admissions process.

Advise applicants on admissions requirements, eligibility, financial aid, and career opportunities.

Review and process application materials, including transcripts, resumes, certifications, essays, and test scores.

Evaluate recruitment strategies and recommend improvements to optimize outreach.

Support and collaborate with Rowan Online departments, academic program coordinators, and the marketing team on enrollment initiatives.

Coordinate and participate in virtual and in-person recruitment events, including off-campus conferences.

Maintain accurate student records and report outreach and enrollment metrics to the Director of Online Admissions.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FERPA.
What do we require from you?

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of two years’ experience in university admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional listening, and customer service abilities.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, with willingness to travel locally.

Welcomes growth, learning, and collaboration in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with non-traditional, online, or adult-learner students.

Familiarity with Slate CRM or similar systems.

Experience leveraging CRM and Student Information Systems for recruitment and enrollment.
Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 21 ($63,833.25 - $73,416), with placement determined by the candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10).
