Assistant Teaching Professor Faculty Position, Department of Mathematics Glassboro, New Jersey
The Department of Mathematics is specifically interested in candidates who are passionate about teaching students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We expect candidates to teach some of our undergraduate applied statistics / data science courses such as Probability and Statistics for Computer Science, Basics of Statistical Computing, Probability and Statistics for Electrical & Computer Engineering, Statistics for the Biomedical Sciences, as well as other department courses. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates are expected to make meaningful and substantive service contributions to undergraduate and graduate programs and the department. Successful candidates are also expected to participate in professional development to stay current in their content area and evidence-based instructional approaches. A PhD degree in some area of the Mathematical Sciences or a related discipline is expected.
Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Statistics and Data Science for Health and Life Sciences - Department of Mathematics Glassboro, New Jersey
The Department of Mathematics is specifically interested in candidates who will develop a research program in statistics and data science applied to health and life sciences, including biostatistics, epidemiology, statistical genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, health informatics, and AI methods applied to biomedical data. However, outstanding candidates with research programs outside of these areas may also be considered. A Ph.D. or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field is required; postdoctoral experience is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record and/or potential to establish and sustain a strong research program with health-related applications.
Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Applied Behavior Analysis - Department of Psychology Glassboro, New Jersey
The Department of Psychology at Rowan University invites applications for a 10-month, tenure-track faculty position (open rank) with an appointment to begin September 1, 2026. Outstanding candidates with a strong research program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), especially those integrating neurodiversity-affirming care in their research and practice, are preferred. However, candidates with research in any area of behavior analysis will be considered. The successful candidate will teach courses in behavior analysis and play an active role in the department’s ongoing efforts toward pursuing ABAI accreditation.  A Ph.D. or equivalent in psychology, behavior analysis, or a closely related field is required, and doctoral-level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) certification or eligibility is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of scholarly productivity, success, or promise in securing external funding, and a commitment to high-quality teaching and clinical training.  We anticipate hiring at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates may be considered at the Associate or Full Professor levels.

Residency Requirements

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Note on STEM-OPT Employment
Please note that STEM OPT employment is not permitted at Rowan University. To be eligible for a STEM OPT extension, the student's employer must be registered in E-Verify and must use the system to verify all new employees. While Rowan University is registered in the E-Verify system, the University does not use the system to verify all new employees, only those that are working on a Federal Contract. This means that Rowan does not permit individuals to work at the University using a STEM OPT Employment Authorization Document as proof of US Work Authorization.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the Rowan University Police Department (RUPD), Clery Act webpage here. 

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, RUPD authority/jurisdiction, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on all our campuses. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
