The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Position:           Part Time Communications Coordinator

Department:     Office of Admissions, Strategic Enrollment Management

Summary:

Rowan University seeks a part time communications coordinator to join our Admissions Communications team within the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management. This position will meet the growing needs for digital communication to support the University’s brand as it pertains to recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate students.

Description:

The selected candidate will work within a collaborative environment, receiving day-to-day guidance from the Assistant Director of Marketing and Strategic Communication, and working alongside a small team of digital content creators and recruitment staff.

The communications coordinator will manage multiple project timelines pertaining primarily to producing and distributing copy for recruitment marketing through the CRM. The selected candidate will understand the lifecycle of undergraduate applicants from prospect through enrollment, understand appropriate content and tone for each level of the admissions funnel, and be able to independently produce and deliver transactional content via email and other media.

This position will work collaboratively with our admissions counselors, events and customer service team, customizing communication content and supporting efforts to successfully enroll students.

The communications coordinator will have a general understanding of using data, including enrollment projections and google analytics, to develop recruitment content to enroll prospective students. This position will also have a basic understanding of HTML, Liquid Markup, database queries and conditional logic.

The selected candidate will be flexible, creative and forward-thinking, who thrives working in a fast-paced team environment and has a growth mindset.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of experience in higher education or non-profit marketing, with an emphasis on producing and editing written content for various platforms
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills
  • Basic knowledge of Graphic Design, with some experience editing with Adobe software
  • Experience with interacting with end users and project clients
  • Ability to work independently and take direction as a part of a larger team
  • Deadline-oriented and works well in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience writing queries and using deliver in Technolutions Slate
  • Experience producing copy within a higher education environment
  • Sense of humor
  • Experience working in a college admissions office
  • Experience working at a tuition-driven institution

Hours: 25/week
