The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University Residential Facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Job Title: PSS2, Sustainable Facilities Center Building Audit/ISR advisor (Full-time, temporary) 

Description of Position: The Sustainable Facilities Center (SFC) in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University helps clients sustainably manage buildings to optimize resiliency, lower costs, reduce energy consumption, reduce emissions, and improve the quality of life of building occupants. The Building Audit/ISR advisor is responsible for independently performing professional work of considerable difficulty using established policies, procedures, precedents and guidelines. They work full time on SFC-NJDMAVA projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete eight Building Audits per year working with the NJDMAVA Energy Manager.  This includes Audit Reports & follow up meetings with Armorers and Review of utility bills for rebates, overpayments, and tariffs. Work with 2 or 3 graduate students annually and work with 6 Engineering Clinic undergraduate students each semester.
  • Complete up to 30 Installation Status Reports annually working with the State ISR Program Manager, using the custom digital inspection workbooks provided by NJDMAVA to determine Mission Functional Rating and Quality Rating.
  • Work related travel is reimbursed.
  • Work with graduate students on projects coordinated with NJDMAVA.
  • Implement BUILDER SMS with other SFC staff. Work with SFC staff working on other NJDMAVA projects, time permitting.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from NJDMAVA staff, time permitting.

Job Requirements: Bachelor degree in engineering or science, or environmental studies with relevant coursework, and at least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant field. A Master's degree can be substituted for work experience.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
