3/4 time Surveying Engineering Technology

THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING AT ROWAN UNIVERSITY invites applications for a ¾ time faculty of Surveying Engineering Technology. We are seeking energetic and innovative master educators of surveying engineering technology (SET), and invite applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching project-based courses in the surveying engineering technology curriculum. Hence, candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, a proven record of, or exceptional potential for developing innovative pedagogical approaches, courses, labs, and projects for a modern SET curriculum. Ideal candidates must also embrace interdisciplinary collaborations, work with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams, have excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in student mentoring.

Applicants with expertise in all areas of surveying engineering technology including, but not limited to, Boundary and Topographic Surveying, Photogrammetry, Geodesy, Least Squares Adjustment and Analysis, Mapping from Unmanned Aerial Systems, Terrestrial Laser Scanning Technology are invited to apply.

The position also includes service responsibilities, such as student advising and helping with the Department’s assessment activities. Therefore, any experience with assessment, pedagogy and scholarship of engineering technology education would be very valuable.  

Applicants must have earned at least a Master of Science degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Surveying Engineering or a closely related discipline. The appointment is non-tenure-track, with renewable multi-year contracts, based on performance, departmental needs, and university and budgetary approvals.
