Participates in a collegial relationship with the physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. Prescribes medication and may provide other holistic forms of treatment for the patient's care. The osteopath provides consultation to clinical staff regarding patient care issues, and may also provide patient education to meet the needs of the patient and families. |
