The Exotic Animal department is responsible for exotic patient cases, hospital intakes and hospitalization of exotic animal patients. The new small animal teaching hospital is designed to accommodate multiple specialty departments including anesthesia, diagnostic imaging (with new GE CT and 3T MRI), dentistry and oral surgery, primary care, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology, emergency/critical care, dermatology, and surgery, and a full pharmacy with sterile compounding capabilities. The selected candidates will provide comprehensive veterinary care for exotic patients within the service.  They will have direct responsibility for teaching and evaluation of both DVM and veterinary technology students, interns, and residents in the clinical setting. Didactic teaching of exotic animal medicine and surgery within the pre-clinical years and coordination of including hands-on training experiences during the 3rd year are essential components of the role. Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in exotic animal medicine and surgery and be Board-Eligible or Board-Certified ABVP-Companion Mammal, ABVP-Avian, ABVP-Reptile/Amphibian, ACZM, or ECZM.

Rowan University is accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Respiratory Therapy Program. Adjunct Clinical Instructors are responsible for the supervision and evaluation of student clinical experiences in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Education. Residency Requirements

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Note on STEM-OPT Employment
Please note that STEM OPT employment is not permitted at Rowan University. To be eligible for a STEM OPT extension, the student's employer must be registered in E-Verify and must use the system to verify all new employees. While Rowan University is registered in the E-Verify system, the University does not use the system to verify all new employees, only those that are working on a Federal Contract. This means that Rowan does not permit individuals to work at the University using a STEM OPT Employment Authorization Document as proof of US Work Authorization.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Rowan is committed in assisting all members of our University community in providing for their safety and security.

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the Rowan University Police Department (RUPD), Clery Act webpage here. 

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, RUPD authority/jurisdiction, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on all our campuses. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
