Temporary Part Time Hourly Program Support Specialist (Office of Advising and Student Information Services)

Reporting to the Director, Rowan Global Office of Advising and Student Information Services (OASIS), the Program Support Specialist supports new program development, implementation, and outreach initiatives for online degree programs. The successful candidate will work closely with advisors, faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders to support initiatives aimed at enhancing online student success, engagement, and degree completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with academic advisors and program coordinators to support new or expanded academic advising programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation of new programs and initiatives, including coordinating logistics and preparing materials.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support program development and evaluation efforts.
  • Support outreach efforts to promote new programs and initiatives to students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and digital content.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining project documentation.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination for program-related activities, workshops, and information sessions.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Utilize project management tools to organize and track project tasks, timelines, and milestones.
  • Assist in developing and supporting project plans and timelines, ensuring that project objectives are met successfully.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in providing regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing any challenges.
  • Support the implementation of project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the academic advising unit.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with project management tools and software is a plus.
  • Previous experience in academic advising or higher education is preferred.
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule during standard business hours; some evening or weekend hours and limited local travel may occasionally be required.
