| The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Clinical Pathology. This is a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.
Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and be ACVP or ESVCP board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Clinical service duties include diagnostic service conducted at the SSVM teaching hospital. This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.
Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of clinical pathology though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. In addition to teaching course work within the program, the duties of this position will include intensive mentoring and support of all PhD in Creativity students, recruiting and reviewing applications, and designing the summer and winter intensive residences. THe successful candidate must have a PhD degree in the humanities and professional experience in an arts discipline that involves embodied cognition. The candidate must also have experience supervising PhD candidates in transdisciplinary projects, namely projects that draw upon disparate disciplines to research and write their dissertations. This hire also requires a candidate actively doing transdisciplinary research and writing.
