Assistant/Associate Professor: Department of Psychiatry, Rowan-Virtua SOM (Mt. Laurel, NJ)

Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently seeking a talented board-eligible/board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a dynamic academic Department of Psychiatry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. Opportunities to teach the next generation of leaders in the medical field are a part of this position.  

The position includes serving as medical director for our 14 bed Child Crisis Intervention Services Unit. Primary responsibilities include leading the interprofessional team, developing treatment plans, acute stabilization of children and adolescents ages 8-17, teaching medical students, residents and fellows on the unit and in the classroom.

The candidate must hold the following:

  • Valid NJ medical license
  • MD/DO
  • CDS license
  • DEA license

Our clinical campus is located in Southern New Jersey, which is within the Philadelphia metropolitan area approximately eight miles from Center City Philadelphia, one hour from the Jersey Shore, an hour and a half from NYC, and two hours from Washington, DC.
