Position Summary:

The Data Integration Analyst is a key technical role within the University Marketing team, primarily focused on designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions to ensure the efficient flow of data between various systems. The analyst will be responsible for writing and optimizing code for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, implementing APIs, and managing data pipelines. This role requires a strong understanding of data architecture and integration best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical partners and internal operations teams. The Data Integration Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing data accessibility and supporting the University's data-driven marketing strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data integration solutions, including ETL processes, to facilitate seamless data flow between systems.

  • Write and optimize code for data extraction, transformation, and loading, ensuring efficient and reliable data processing.

  • Implement and manage APIs to enable data exchange between systems, supporting real-time data accessibility.

  • Manage and maintain data pipelines, ensuring they operate efficiently and accurately, with minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate closely with technical teams, marketing teams, and external partners to address and resolve data-related issues and enhance data accessibility.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration problems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems.

  • Monitor and optimize data integration processes to improve performance and support evolving business needs.

  • Ensure that all data integration activities comply with University policies, industry standards, and data privacy regulations.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on data integration best practices and tools.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, or a similar role.

  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, or Java.

  • Experience with ETL tools and technologies (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS).

  • Knowledge of API development and management, including RESTful APIs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data quality best practices.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data integration platforms (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).

  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Experience working with large-scale data environments and big data technologies.
