Social Worker (Full-Time, Temporary), Gloucester County Opioid Response Mobile Unit (Sewell, NJ)
SUMMARY
Become part of our Gloucester County Opioid Response Mobile Unit: Functions with considerable autonomy in providing professional social work treatment and discharge planning services to patients and their families related to their health care and general well-being. Provides supportive counseling and/or crisis intervention to patients and families.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides social work services to patients and their families/significant others, assisting them in resolving social, emotional and environmental problems that interfere with psychosocial functioning and a positive response to medical treatment and health care.
Assesses the needs of patients referred identified.
Formulates treatment goal(s) and plan (s) for each assigned patient.
Documents social work activity in patient’s chart in accordance with Hospital, PRO, DOH and JCAHO standards.
Prepares monthly statistical and other assigned reports.
Participates in professional staff development and hospital/community activities to maintain skills and enhance professional visibility.
Maintains effective, open communications with all members of the health care team and all other hospital staff.
Develops and maintains community relations which enhances the availability of resources for patients’ health and welfare.
Participates in research activities as necessary. Interfaces as necessary with the research principal investigator or members of the research team in fulfilling grant reporting requirements.
Understands and adheres to Rowan's compliance standards as they appear in Rowan University’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active NJ certification, CSW (Certified Social Worker). May be required to follow a varied schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays. May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.

SALARY INFORMATION
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $80,000, with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.
