Summary:
The ASPIRE to Teach program is housed in the College of Education at Rowan University. The Program Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the ASPIRE to Teach program. This includes working closely with the ASPIRE faculty director/supervisor, lead personnel in curriculum and ASPIRE lead instructor development, and other key roles in the College/University. With approximately 300 candidates in ASPIRE, the Program Coordinator will assist the ASPIRE team in developing and administering day-to-day operations, services, and records for the 50-Hour Pre-Professional and Two-Year Program to provide teacher candidates the opportunity to earn P-12 teacher certification in a specific discipline/area of study through an alternate route program, in order to build capacity for the teacher workforce in New Jersey. This is a full-time, 12-month, temporary position, with possible renewal based on available funding.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Develops and maintains accurate records in the secure electronic database; processing paperwork and/or requests efficiently and accurately. 
● Provides administrative support for ASPIRE students’ admission, orientation, and course/scheduling/events, and maintains databases to track cohort information for the purpose of state and national level reporting and accreditation agencies. 
● Leads efforts in fielding student issues and inquiries regarding registration, enrollment, student resources.
● Coordinates all ASPIRE to Teach hiring and onboarding (including I-9 completion, background checks, entering of job card in PageUp, etc.)
●Develops and maintains accurate records for special assignment contracts and any other stipends.
● Supports ASPIRE faculty director/supervisor with proxy tasks such as banner processes, RIMS, Concur (when needed) and other related functions.
●Creates and assists with ASPIRE affiliate group in RIMS and maintains regular updates with personnel.
● In consultation with the ASPIRE faculty director/supervisor, manage and monitor program budget, monitor revenue, purchasing and expenses, problem solve any issues and maintain budget reports and track all budget documents.
● Works with various departments such as Budget, Accounts Payable, Finance, IRT, Procurement, Human Resources as needed. 
● Supports program needs with duplicating and office supplies needs (e.g., bulk printing of reports/newsletters, or marketing materials ordering supplies).
● Maintains effective and accurate communication, and takes meeting minutes. 
● Assists with all ASPIRE to Teach events’ logistics including scheduling meeting/event locations through 25 Live; catering as necessary, and process paperwork for programs through risk management and university events.
● Participates in department and college-wide events, and trainings needed to perform essential duties.
● Performs other duties to support ASPIRE to Teach and the Dean’s Office as assigned.
 
Requirements:
● Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree.
● One year professional experience
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), or
similar software applications.
● Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) needed to present and communicate
effectively.
● Effective skill set in database management and ability to multitask on various projects.
Salary & Benefits:
- In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 18 (Step 1: $55,142 to Step 4: $63,410), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. 
- For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10)
