The Rowan Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is seeing candidates for a Nutritionist at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. The department is expanding its base of activity in the field of nutrition and is seeking individuals whose education and research utilize contemporary techniques to address fundamental questions related to a broad range of topics.
Qualified candidates whose work, teaching, and research focused in the areas of gut microbiome, Crohn’s disease, nutrigenomics, nutrition therapy counseling, plant nutrition, and diabetes are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also serve as the Director of the Institute for Health Access and Advancement.
Applicants seeking the Assistant Professor position should have a Ph.D., MD/Ph.D. or equivalent in Nutrition or a related field with a record of accomplishment in research and evidence of potential to develop and maintain a funded research program that complements areas of expertise within the Department of Internal Medicine. Those candidates seeking an Associate Professor/Professor position should have an established research program and a history of extramural funding. The successful candidate will join a productive and highly collaborative faculty. The position is expected to be research-intensive and will include some teaching responsibilities for graduate and medical education in the study of nutrition courses. Salary, start-up funds, and other considerations will be commensurate with experience, existing funding, and consistent with a commitment to recruit, support, and retain exceptional individuals. In compliance with the State of New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is $100,060 -$ 138,325. The Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and the School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences are located in Stratford, NJ; 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Atlantic Ocean, and 2 hours from New York City. The Department of Neuroscience is housed in a modern, fully equipped research building.
