Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently seeking a Division Chief of Endocrinology to join our growing Department of Medicine located in Southern New Jersey. This is a full-time position that includes meeting the requirements to obtain a faculty appointment to the rank of Associate Professor or above.  The Division Chief for Endocrinology is responsible for providing leadership to grow and develop a strong clinical and academic division.  As a clinician, the physician will provide appropriate, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary care. Responsibilities include office practice, off-site clinic sessions, call coverage and teaching students in all these settings.

The selected candidate must hold the following:

  • Valid NJ Medical License
  • CDS
  • DEA
  • Board Certified in Endocrinology

In compliance with the State of New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is $250,000-$280,000.  When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as, but not limited to, scope of responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.

Our main clinical campus is located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area approximately 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Atlantic Ocean and 2 hours from New York City.

Residency Requirements

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Note on STEM-OPT Employment
Please note that STEM OPT employment is not permitted at Rowan University. To be eligible for a STEM OPT extension, the student's employer must be registered in E-Verify and must use the system to verify all new employees. While Rowan University is registered in the E-Verify system, the University does not use the system to verify all new employees, only those that are working on a Federal Contract. This means that Rowan does not permit individuals to work at the University using a STEM OPT Employment Authorization Document as proof of US Work Authorization.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Rowan is committed in assisting all members of our University community in providing for their safety and security.

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the Rowan University Police Department (RUPD), Clery Act webpage here. 

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, RUPD authority/jurisdiction, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on all our campuses. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
