Position:  Part Time Communications Coordinator (Office of Admissions, Strategic Enrollment Management)

Summary:

Rowan University seeks a part time Communications Coordinator to join the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management. The Communications Coordinator will develop copy for email and other strategic communications, in order to help accomplish prospective student engagement goals.

Description:

The Communications Coordinator will manage multiple project timelines to write, edit, and proof strategic communications for email and other digital distribution. The position will understand the lifecycle of undergraduate applicants from prospect through enrollment, understand appropriate content and tone for each level of the admissions funnel, and be able to independently produce content for distribution via email and other media.

This position will receive day-to-day guidance from the Assistant Director of Strategic Communication to partner with internal stakeholders on email project requirements, delivery of assets, and production timelines. The Communications Coordinator will assist the Assistant Director of Strategic Communication in developing and coordinating content for engagement strategies, and measuring effectiveness of campaigns in order to continually improve ROI from communications efforts.

The Communications Coordinator will work closely with team members in digital marketing, graphic design, and content development to create and deliver compelling messages for key target audiences.

The selected candidate will be flexible, creative and forward-thinking, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and has a growth mindset.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • 2 (two) years of professional experience
  • Strong promotional copywriting skills and appreciation for application of branding guidelines
  • A passion for authoring communications to engage and encourage prospective students toward enrollment
  • Knowledge of marketing funnels and lead nurturing practices
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with databases and list management.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience using CRM for email marketing, Technolutions Slate system experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS.

Hours: 25 per week week
