Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice Chancellor for Information Resources and Technology, the Associate Dean leads Campbell Library as an academic, cultural, research, student-success, and technology hub and ensures that its people, spaces, collections, services, and systems advance the University's mission.
The Associate Dean is accountable for coordinating performance across Campbell Library's leadership and service portfolio, including Teaching & Learning, Access Services and Facilities Operations, Collection Services, Discovery Services, Library Technology Services, and related programs and administrative functions. The role leads through Campbell Library's leadership structure and establishes clear priorities, decision rights, service expectations, and accountability for results.
Campbell Library’s technology, discovery, collection, licensing, and service functions support users across Rowan University. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Clinical service duties include diagnostic service conducted at the SSVM teaching hospital. This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.
Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of clinical pathology though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research.
