Quality Controller, AFT PSS2 Technology Acquisitions

Information Resources & Technology Director of Standards and Acquisitions

Position Summary: In this role, the Quality Controller is responsible for enforcing quality controls to maintain Rowan University standards through communicating expectations, providing coaching, and performing corrective and preventative actions within the Get Technology Process governed by the Information Resources and Technology Acquisition Policy (ITAP)

Information Resources and Technology Acquisition Policy Summary: The Information Resources and Technology Acquisition Policy (ITAP) ensures that all technology purchases are compatible with existing technology, compliance with security requirements and regulations are followed, technology duplication and consolidation are minimal, and project and operational commitments concerning IT resources are reviewed.

Get Technology Process Summary: The Get Technology process leverages and enforces ITAP. It is the method used university-wide to assess risk, supportability, and whether the technology is compatible with and feasible for the Rowan University environment.

Quality Controller Responsibilities

  • ●  Responsible as process coordinator for the Get Technology process.

  • ●  Coordinate with the Get Technology Committee.

  • ●  Ability to analyze data, spot useful trends, and purchase duplications.

  • ●  Responsible for providing Get Technology process guidance & coaching.

  • ●  Resolve requestor’s questions and escalations about requests and the process.

  • ●  Elevate Get Technology request issues or concerns to the appropriate IRT subject matter experts

    for remediation & resolution.

  • ●  Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to Get Technology.

  • ●  Ensure Get Technology request submissions and documents are accurate for review &

    assessment.

  • ●  Suggest improvements across all processes that interact with Get Technology

  • ●  Review stalled requests to make certain they are completed promptly.

  • ●  Weekly review of high purchase requisitions with executive management.

  • ●  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

  • ●  Bachelor’s Degree in a related profession

  • ●  At least four (4) years of practical quality assurance experience with a strong focus in the

    following areas: IT, process & quality improvement, and auditing.

  • ●  Ability to work within a matrix organization.

  • ●  Ability to train others, including peers, to execute quality assurance efforts.

  • ●  Ability to function effectively in a team environment.

  • ●  Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • ●  Ability to think independently.

  • ●  Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.

  • ●  Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions.

  • ●  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

●  Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Desired

  • ●  Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other

    related field.

  • ●  3-5 years of quality assurance experience.

  • ●  3-5 years of process development and improvement experience.

  • ●  IT and higher education/ business work experience preferred.
