Job Title:         Program Coordinator, Full-Time Temporary (HRSA Grant)

Reports To:     Project Director of HRSA Grant “Value‐Based Medical Student Education Training Program“ and Business Administrator

SUMMARY 

Reporting to the Project Director and the Business Administrator, the Program Coordinator will manage key aspects of the HRSA “Value‐Based Medical Student Education Training Program“ to increase medical students choosing careers in primary care in rural and/or medically underserved areas of New Jersey. Job functions include building awareness of project, coordinating the associated student scholarship program, executing the program didactics and clinical coordination, as well as assisting with data collection and reporting. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Works under the direction of the Project Director (or designee) and other grant personnel to implement the proposed activities in the grant. 

  • Collaborates with the Project Evaluator to ensure all required data per Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) is collected and entered.

  • Participates in all required grant-training and become familiar with required federal platforms including but not limited to eRACommons.

  • Attends meetings as required.

  • Works in collaboration with the Program Director and Co-Director to prepare reports and spreadsheets   containing aggregate data findings, analyses, conclusions, and recommendations as requested. Assists in preparation of reports required by Grant Sponsor. 

  • Works in collaboration with grant-related partners, including Southern Jersey Family Medical Center, Virtua Health, Inspira Health, Capital Health, AtlantiCare, and CarePoint Health.

  • Understands and adheres to RowanVirtuaSOM compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy

  • Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan University regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

  • Is available for travel as required between RowanVirtuaSOM, Glassboro Main Campus, Maryville Treatment Centers in Gloucester and Cumberland County, and Hope Exits in Atlantic County, to fulfill the grant requirements. 

  • Performs other grant-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with excellent PowerPoint skills. Bachelor’s degree in health-related field required. Graduate degree in healthcare administration with experience in managing federal grants preferred. Effective oral and written communications skills and being able to function in a team environment are a must. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate the efforts of a team to accomplish objectives. Must have a valid driver’s license. 

Physical Demands:

May be required to work off hours as needed to meet grant deadlines. Must be able to attend meetings in other buildings and at off-site locations.

This is a Full-Time, Temporary Grant Funded position.  Duration of grant is expected to end on June 30, 2027, or when funding ends.
