Healthcare Programs Manager, Workforce Learning Solutions - Rowan Online, Rowan University

Position Summary:  

The Healthcare Programs Manager is a seasoned healthcare professional who oversees Rowan Online’s education programs designed specifically for working healthcare professionals.  The Healthcare Programs Manager in our Workforce Learning Solutions department is responsible for obtaining, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of online education programs and partnerships.  

 

This role requires a dynamic leader and strategic thinker with excellent relationship, organizational and leadership skills, who can drive the successful execution of Healthcare partnerships with hospitals, health systems, and healthcare employers to create educational pathways that help their employees advance their careers  

 

The HPM is ultimately responsible for developing these relationships, designing program offerings, and ensuring the successful implementation of online education initiatives. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

Partnership Development & Management 

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare employers 
  • Present program benefits and opportunities to healthcare leadership teams and negotiate partnership agreements that mutually benefit both employer and employees 
  • Serve as primary liaison between partner organizations and Rowan Online, Workforce Learning Solutions to ensure partner satisfaction and program success 
  • Plan and lead outreach meetings with potential partners, negotiate agreements, and resolve any issues or escalations. 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for each partner activation 
  • Ensure each partner has an annual engagement success plan to allow for WLS team to schedule and sponsor regular engagement activities highlighting the partnership between Rowan University and the healthcare organization. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at healthcare organizations to ensure engagement content and process aligns with partnership goals and educational objectives. 

 

Program Development & Cultivation of Academic Synergy 

  • Coordinate the collaborative development of online healthcare education programs (nursing, healthcare administration, allied health, etc.) 
  • Foster positive relationships with faculty and staff of academic departments and Healthcare SME’s to ensure programs are developed that meet industry needs, partner requirements, and the highest academic standards.  
  • Engage with SME’s, instructional design, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment with program objectives and integration of the latest learning technologies and methodologies  
  • Develop flexible learning options with adaptive content catering to a diverse range of learners and accommodate working healthcare professionals 
  • Create pathways for career advancement within partner organizations 
  • Monitor program quality and student outcomes using data-driven insights to make recommendations for course and program enhancements 

 

Implementation & Operations 

  • Collaborate with the WLS Operations teams to develop outreach materials, presentations, proposals, and engagement plans 
  • Coordinate enrollment processes for employer-sponsored students that ensure a positive and welcoming onboarding experience for students entering through employer partnerships 
  • Work with financial aid teams to structure cohesion with tuition assistance and employer-sponsored benefits 
  • Collaborate with IRT and student services to ensure seamless online learning experiences 
  • Track program metrics and report on partnership success 

 

Strategic Planning 

  • Analyze healthcare workforce trends to identify new program opportunities 
  • Develop marketing materials and presentations for potential partners 
  • Create business cases for new program initiatives 
  • Support budgeting and revenue planning for partnership programs 
  • Stay current with healthcare industry needs and regulatory requirements 

 

Qualifications: 

 

Required:  

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a healthcare discipline; (Master's, PhD, MD, DO preferred) 
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, education, corporate partnerships, or business development 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry workforce needs and career pathways 
  • Experience working with adult learners and online education platforms 
  • Proven track record in relationship building and partnership management 
  • Experience with contract negotiation and business development 
  • Proven project management and problem-solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads 
  • Residency in the Mid-Atlantic region with a willingness and ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally to support healthcare partner initiatives 

 

Preferred: 

  • Master’s Degree and/or healthcare licensure / certifications 
  • Background in nursing, patient care, or healthcare administration 
  • A record of higher education leadership experience and/or Healthcare industry leadership, including deep understanding of Healthcare principles, practices, and technology. 
  • Strong network within the Healthcare industry, including relationships with Hospital Systems, professional organizations, and industry leaders. 
  • Proven experience in leadership roles, including overseeing staff, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and developing programs, partnerships, and funding sources 
  • Previous experience with employer-sponsored education programs 
  • Knowledge of healthcare accreditation requirements 
  • Experience with online learning platforms and educational technology 
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations affecting healthcare education 
  • Experience working with non-traditional, online, and adult-learner undergraduate students and graduate students 
  • Experience with and a commitment to innovative online learning practices, including the use of technology and active learning strategies.

Salary Information:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $112,500 to $131,250. When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.

For eligible employees, benefits include: comprehensive NJ State health, dental and retirement benefits, extensive accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents to attend Rowan University, Glassboro.
