The Marketing Analytics Specialist is a key member of Rowan University’s Division of Marketing & Communications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Strategy & Performance Marketing, this role provides critical analytical support to advance the University’s marketing and enrollment goals. The Marketing Analytics Specialist develops dashboards, attribution models, and testing programs, while translating data into actionable insights that improve campaign performance, audience engagement, and overall digital strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance performance dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio, Google Analytics, and other business intelligence platforms.

  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to optimize campaign performance and improve conversion rates (CRO).

  • Develop and apply attribution models (e.g., multi-touch attribution) to measure cross-channel marketing impact.

  • Support SEO strategy and reporting by analyzing keyword performance, website traffic, and search visibility.

  • Conduct marketing related research and provide data-driven insights to support the development, evaluation, and growth of new academic programs and initiatives.

  • Partner with all marketing functions to provide actionable insights and reporting for campaigns across digital, social, email, web platforms, and more.

  • Implement and manage campaign tracking solutions using Google Tag Manager and related tools.

  • Create and manage lead scoring and engagement scoring models to improve segmentation and targeting strategies.

  • Deliver clear, actionable reports that communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ensure data integration accuracy across platforms (CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools) and maintain strong data governance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand competencies, enhance analytics capabilities, and build on the work already driving marketing performance.

  • Stay current with analytics best practices, attribution methodologies, and emerging marketing technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (recent graduates welcome).

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in marketing analytics or a related data-driven role.

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, or comparable digital analytics platforms.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect data patterns to business recommendations.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data science, statistics, or predictive modeling.

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or basic web development.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, or business intelligence tools.

  • Experience in SEO reporting, UX/UI analysis, and use of SEO tools (e.g., BrightEdge, SEMrush).

  • Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and testing methodologies.

  • Exposure to lead scoring, engagement scoring, or predictive analytics for marketing.

  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance practices (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Wrike, ClickUp, Trello, Asana).

Salary & Benefits:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 21 ($63,833.24 to $73,416.00), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.

For eligible employees, benefits include: comprehensive NJ State health, dental and retirement benefits, extensive accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents to attend Rowan University, Glassboro. (Tuition reimbursement will apply to undergraduate degrees only for spouse and dependents).”
