Description of Position

This position will support the Marketing/ISA Department and the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SIE) and will be cross trained to assist the Dean’s Office as needed. The major role of this position is to provide support to students, faculty, and staff enabling them to be successful and productive to achieve the College of Business’ goals and objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Exercises superior judgement and decision-making, taking initiative where appropriate and welcomes opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Supports Department / SIE leadership, faculty, program advisors, students, visitors, and external clients.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and executing on Department/ SIE events which will require flexibility in the work schedule on occasion.
  • Serve on standing or ad-hoc committees as needed.
  • Interact with related advisory councils that support Department/ SIE.
  • Collaborate with the Department / SIE Leadership in the preparation and submission of course scheduling information including submission of reassign time and overload forms.
  • In collaboration with the College of Business, Asst. Dir for Budget and Finance, manage operating, grant, revenue and other accounts and coordinates all relevant fiscal activities.
  • Responsible for budget analysis, reports and continued monitoring, management and processing of all invoices and expenditures.
  • Manage department P-card and assist in processing reimbursements for items such as annual memberships, virtual and in-person conference fees, etc. and track until completion.
  • Works with various other University departments such as the Budget, Accounts Payable, Procurement Provost’s Office, Human Resources, OSP, and Advancement to ensure timely processing of all departmental and College of Business needs.
  • Coordinates related hiring and onboarding including full-time tenure track, ¾-time, lecturer, adjunct and all undergraduate student hiring including I-9 completion, background checks, entering of job card in PageUp, assisting search committee when necessary.
  • Process or assist faculty in processing IRT orders in the IRT Service Portal and track to completion. Maintain IRT Asset List.
  • Supervises student workers as needed including (FWS, department funded, grant funded), training, scheduling time sheet approval, and payment.
  • Ensure all students, faculty and staff submit timesheets in accordance with University policy.
  • Support completion of travel requests and expenses for reimbursement with faculty, staff within Concur and students using University student travel forms.
  • Setup various faculty and staff meetings as needed.
  • Maintains and interprets policies and procedures for the department including keeping all related records.
  • Understand, use and train department faculty on all Rowan online systems to support operations – Banner, Works, 25Live, Concur, ProfsJobs, IRT Support Portal, Outlook, etc.
  • Performs other duties to support the College of Business as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

REQUIREMENTS: NOTE: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.

Four (4) years of professional position-related experience.

OR

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 

OR

Possession of an associate's degree; and two (2) years of professional position-related experience.

NOTE: "Professional experience" refers to work that is analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range of basic knowledge of the profession's concepts and practices; and is performed with the authority to act and make accurate and informed decisions.

Salary:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is CWA: Range 16 ($51,479)
