The Part-Time Temporary Admissions Recruiter plays a key role in the recruitment and enrollment efforts of Rowan University Graduate and Non-Traditional Admissions. This position is responsible for attracting and engaging prospective graduate students, guiding them through the admissions process, and supporting their transition to enrolled students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively recruit prospective students through various channels including phone calls, email/text campaigns, virtual events, in-person events and other recruitment strategies.
  • Advise prospective students and their families on graduate programs, document requirements, deadlines and application procedures. 
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions and application statuses using the Slate CRM software. 
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about Rowan University’s programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate and work with admissions team, academic departments, financial aid offices, and marketing teams to develop recruitment strategies
  • Assist with admissions events, both on-campus and virtual, to engage with prospective students and provide information about this department’s programs and offerings.
  • Collaborate and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide actionable insights for setting strategy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as education, counseling, or communications.
  • Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking, comfortable in front of groups big and small; high level of energy and drive; a mindset for marketing and promotion is very valuable.
  • Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills; creativity; time-management and prioritization; teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines; ability to plan, manage, and execute initiatives; extreme attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions processes and best practices preferred.

Rate: $20 per hour

Hours: 

  • This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriations.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
