This position is based at Rowan Online’s dynamic and interactive team hub, located in downtown Glassboro, NJ. Rowan Online Success Coaches thrive in our contemporary collaborative workspace, intentionally designed to facilitate meaningful connections and innovative thinking. In addition to the synergistic work environment, this role is eligible to participate in Rowan's Flexible Work Arrangement (hybrid work) policy. To ensure exceptional support for our online learners, in-office and remote days follow a consistent pattern, with regular adjustments for strategic meetings and special events. This student-centered role occasionally requires evening and weekend hours, along with occasional local travel to provide diverse engagement opportunities with Rowan Online’s learning community.

This role supports the Construction Management vertical within Workforce Learning Solutions, working closely with industry partners, including national labor organizations, trade unions, and workforce partners. Engagement activities may include presentations, workforce education sessions, and informational events designed to connect union members and construction professionals with Rowan University’s academic programs.

The Partner Engagement and Activation Manager plays a key role in advancing this mission by developing and executing engagement strategies that connect workforce partners to Rowan University’s programs. Within the Construction Management vertical, this role will collaborate with labor organizations, including partnerships connected to the North America's Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and affiliated unions, to increase awareness of educational opportunities for construction professionals and union members. Through partner events, outreach campaigns, and workforce engagement initiatives, the manager helps create pathways that support career growth, professional development, and enrollment in Rowan University programs. This position offers the opportunity to build strong industry relationships while contributing to the growth of innovative workforce education programs.

What will you be doing?

  • The Partner Engagement and Activation Manager will lead engagement initiatives that strengthen workforce partnerships and increase awareness of Rowan University programs within partner organizations, particularly within the construction and skilled trades sector.

  • Key responsibilities include developing strategic engagement plans that support workforce partnerships and increase participation in Rowan University programs. The role serves as a primary point of contact for partner organizations and is responsible for maintaining consistent communication, coordinating engagement initiatives, and building trusted relationships with employer and labor partners.

  • The position plans and executes a variety of partner-facing engagement activities such as information sessions, webinars, workforce presentations, and industry events. These initiatives are designed to generate prospective student interest, increase application activity, and strengthen participation in Rowan University programs.

  • The manager also develops targeted outreach campaigns using email communications, promotional materials, and event invitations to expand program awareness within partner organizations. Engagement activities are closely coordinated with internal teams including marketing, enrollment services, academic leadership, and sales operations to ensure consistent messaging and effective follow-up with prospective students.

  • Additional responsibilities include monitoring engagement outcomes such as event participation, prospective student inquiries, and application activity. The manager maintains documentation of engagement efforts and analyzes results to continuously refine strategies and improve outreach effectiveness.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

  • Demonstrated experience in partnership development, workforce engagement, outreach, or industry relationship management.

  • Experience planning and executing events, presentations, or engagement initiatives.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage professional audiences.

  • Ability to build trusted relationships with external partners including employers, workforce organizations, and labor groups.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Experience working collaboratively across departments to coordinate outreach, marketing, and enrollment efforts.

  • Must successfully complete criminal clearance as required.

  • Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement.

Salary & Benefits:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.

For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10)

For eligible employees, benefits include: comprehensive NJ State health, dental and retirement benefits, extensive accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents to attend Rowan University, Glassboro. (Tuition reimbursement will apply to undergraduate degrees only for spouse and dependents).
