The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Anatomic Pathology.
Position Summary:
This is a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor with an anticipated start date around July 1, 2026. Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate. The position is defined as approximately 80% Clinical Service/Teaching, 10% Scholarly Activity, and 10% Academic Service. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled. Key Opportunities:
- Candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems
- Clinical service duties include necropsy, biopsy, resident training, and related diagnostic work conducted at the New Jersey Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory in Ewing, New Jersey in support of the mission of the Division of Animal Health Laboratory Services, in the New Jersey Department of Agriculture
- Creative scholarly activity is expected but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research.
Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a DVM or equivalent degree
- Be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
- ACVP or ECVP board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology
Salary Range:
In compliance with the State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000. When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.

The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Glassboro, New Jersey west campus, 22 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine admitted its first class of DVM students in 2025. Facilities include an academic teaching facility aimed at the delivery of pre-clinical training, a small animal teaching hospital, and a research facility.
