Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently seeking a psychiatrist to join our growing Department of Psychiatry located in Southern New Jersey. This is a per-diem position within the Department of Psychiatry. The selected candidate will be expected to provide appropriate, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary care. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services within multiple health systems in South Jersey. This role will work closely with the clinical staff for the day-to-day treatment of patients as well as in an academic capacity to teach medical students, residents, and allied health professionals. This position is available for academic promotion within the university.

The selected candidate must hold the following:

  • Valid NJ Medical License
  • CDS
  • DEA
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Our clinical campuses are in Southern New Jersey, which is within the Philadelphia metropolitan area, one hour from the Jersey Shore, an hour and a half from NYC, and two hours from Washington, DC.

This is an hourly paid position.

In compliance with the State of New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $85/hr.  When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as, but not limited to, scope of responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.

This is a non-benefit eligible position.

NOTE: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.  The university will not sponsor an applicant's work visa for this position.
