Description and Duties

The Assistant Director plays a key role in driving the growth, efficiency, and quality of Rohrer College of Business academic programs. The role balances strategic thinking, operations, data analysis, and collaborative innovation to help optimize the student lifecycle from recruitment through graduation.

  • Provide guidance for admissions operations, with an emphasis on graduate business programs, including the review process, communications strategy, pipeline management, and coordination with the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  • Manage and refine operational systems and student lifecycle workflows.
  • Direct graduate recruitment communications, new student onboarding, and information session planning in collaboration with relevant university resources.
  • Planning and analysis of strategic projects related to enrollment growth, academic innovation, and student success.
  • Work with relevant university resources on further development of data reporting dashboards and analytics to forecast enrollment, track student progression, inform course scheduling, and evaluate outreach and retention strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support new program development, curriculum improvements, and accreditation efforts.
  • Oversee data collection and conduct analysis to support key aspects of AACSB and ABET accreditation.
  • Maintain and oversee content strategy for business academic programs website, handbooks, and internal guides to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability for both students and staff. Collaborate with college or university marketing communications resources.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a higher-education academic environment with at least two years in a business school setting. Experience advising students on curriculum options to best meet students’ career and professional development objectives. Experience in strategic planning, data gathering and analytics is preferred. Experience working in an AACSB accredited business school is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in systems, tools, and software such as campus management for advising, email marketing, and data analytics. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Google suite, and social media.

 

Salary & Benefits:

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 22 ($69,373 Min to $79,781), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. 

For internal applicants, salary is determined per the Pay Adjustment formula (NJAC 4A:3-4.9 & 4.10). 

For eligible employees, benefits include: comprehensive NJ State health, dental and retirement benefits, extensive accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents to attend Rowan University, Glassboro. (Tuition reimbursement will apply to undergraduate degrees only for spouse and dependents).
