The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University is seeking full and part-time Emergency/Urgent Care faculty to join our program as part of our inaugural veterinary program and teaching hospital. Selected candidates will be integral in the development of the companion animal emergency/critical care (ECC) service housed within our new Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, currently slated for completion in July 2025 in Harrison Township, NJ and planned opening in the fall. The hospital is located 1.5 miles from our main Glassboro campus.
Ophthalmologist - Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University Glassboro, New Jersey
The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University is seeking an ophthalmologist to join its faculty and contribute to the development of the ophthalmology service within the new Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, which is currently under construction in Harrison Township, NJ. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to support multiple specialty departments, including anesthesia, diagnostic imaging with advanced equipment including GE Revolution Ascend 128-slice CT and GE Signa Hero 3T MRI technology, dentistry and oral surgery, primary care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, neurology, exotics, dermatology, emergency/critical care, and a full pharmacy with sterile compounding capabilities.  
Clinical Pathology Faculty - Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University Glassboro, New Jersey
The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Clinical Pathology. This is a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.   Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and be ACVP or ESVCP board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Clinical service duties include diagnostic service conducted at the SSVM teaching hospital.  This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.  Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of clinical pathology though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. Veterinary Dentist - Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University Glassboro, New Jersey
The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University is seeking an additional Veterinary Dentist to join the faculty in our new veterinary program and small animal teaching hospital. The selected candidate will be integral in developing the dentistry service within our new small animal teaching hospital, currently under construction in Harrison Township, NJ. The hospital is designed to accommodate multiple specialty departments including anesthesia, cardiology, clinical pathology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging (with GE 128-slice CT and GE 3T MRI), emergency/critical care, exotics, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, primary care, radiology, surgery, and a full pharmacy with sterile compounding capabilities. This position supports an important clinical service in the veterinary teaching hospital and significantly contributes to both client satisfaction and revenue generation. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive small animal dental specialty care to patients. They will have direct responsibility for teaching and evaluation of veterinary students, interns, and residents in the clinical setting. Teaching of dentistry and oral surgery within the pre-clinical years are essential components of the role. Our top priorities are delivering excellent patient care and training graduates who are competent, confident, and ready from day one. Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery through completion of a residency program and be board-eligible or AVDC board-certified. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Anatomic Pathology Post Graduate Residency. The Schrieber School of Veterinary Medicine (SSVM) at Rowan University invites applications for one post-grad residency position in veterinary anatomic pathology that will begin July 1, 2026. The successful applicant will complete their diagnostic duty between the SSVM in Glassboro, NJ and the New Jersey Animal Health Diagnostic Laboratory (NJ AHDL) in Ewing under the primary guidance of 2 Rowan University ACVP-board certified anatomic pathologists with supplemental guidance from 2 NJ AHDL anatomic pathologists and 2 SSVM ACVP board-certified clinical pathologists.  Pathology residents will be eligible for ACVP board-certification upon completion of the program.

Residency Requirements

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Note on STEM-OPT Employment
Please note that STEM OPT employment is not permitted at Rowan University. To be eligible for a STEM OPT extension, the student's employer must be registered in E-Verify and must use the system to verify all new employees. While Rowan University is registered in the E-Verify system, the University does not use the system to verify all new employees, only those that are working on a Federal Contract. This means that Rowan does not permit individuals to work at the University using a STEM OPT Employment Authorization Document as proof of US Work Authorization.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Rowan is committed in assisting all members of our University community in providing for their safety and security.

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the Rowan University Police Department (RUPD), Clery Act webpage here. 

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, RUPD authority/jurisdiction, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on all our campuses. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
