The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University invites applications for a faculty position in Clinical Pathology. This is a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Appointment may be in a tenure or clinical track depending on the qualifications and goals of the successful candidate.   Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey, and be ACVP or ESVCP board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Pathology. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member of the SSVM and play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems. Clinical service duties include diagnostic service conducted at the SSVM teaching hospital.  This 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Glassboro Campus provides both primary and specialized care for companion, food and fiber animals throughout New Jersey and surrounding states.  Creative scholarly activity is expected to advance the discipline of clinical pathology though the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, but the extent will depend on the candidate’s appointment and may include collaborative or independent research. Residency Requirements

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to a non-exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or have one (1) year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Any person hired to an exempt position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York or have ninety (90) days from the date of employment to establish, then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York.

Note on STEM-OPT Employment
Please note that STEM OPT employment is not permitted at Rowan University. To be eligible for a STEM OPT extension, the student's employer must be registered in E-Verify and must use the system to verify all new employees. While Rowan University is registered in the E-Verify system, the University does not use the system to verify all new employees, only those that are working on a Federal Contract. This means that Rowan does not permit individuals to work at the University using a STEM OPT Employment Authorization Document as proof of US Work Authorization.

Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Rowan is committed in assisting all members of our University community in providing for their safety and security.

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report is available on the Rowan University Police Department (RUPD), Clery Act webpage here. 

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as crime prevention, RUPD authority/jurisdiction, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on all our campuses. The report also contains information about fire statistics in Rowan University on-campus student housing facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years, including reported crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act or the "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Police Department.
