Clinical Add-On Programmer Analyst

SUMMARY: 

Rowan University seeks an experienced programmer analyst in our Clinical Systems division of Information Resources and Technology (IRT). This position will be crucial to assist in the current and future success of the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicines and its successful participation in population health and Accredited Care Organizations (ACO). Additionally this position will be instrumental in assisting reporting for insurance provider metrics (PCMH) and government programs such as MIP’s.

Responsible for primary support for Rowan SOM Care Manager System and related programs. Enli care manager is the system that interfaces with Centricity EMR to provide metrics for the above SOM programs. Additionally there is a SQL repository that is also populated by this product. The analyst will work closely with the quality department, managed care and other department heads to identify and prioritize data collection, reporting and technical requirements. The analyst must have experience and knowledge of population health, quality metrics and integration of data from an EMR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS including responsibilities:

Responsible for the upgrade, maintenance and integration of care management software and the EMR. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Responsible for all upgrades, updates, ongoing maintenance and enhancements to the Rowan SOM Care Management System
  • Install new Population Health or ACO software as needed
  • Interface with ACO partners and provider sites to engage on data questions, develop new DB and  analyses, and present results
  • Working with the quality and managed care department  to provide reports dashboards and analysis  that effectively communicate performance to operational and clinical leaders and stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and support clinical systems applications, including but not limited to C-EMR, CB and Enli
  • Specific duties include but are not limited to:
    • Build and Maintain SQL stored Procedures
    • Build maintain and edit, SQL filters for the health risk module with in registries.
    • Create and maintain administrative reports.
    • Audit and review system logs and implement remediation as needed.
    • Ensure adherence to change management notification and
    • Serve as first point of contact on issue regarding system access and performance.
    • Implement workflows as defined by users
    • Maintain and update user security
    • Build and maintain a communication interface such as patient letters. .
    • Map Observation terms for changes based on clinical practice
    • Audit and correct any data integrity issues for the SQL database
    • Balance system with C-EMR quality measures
  • Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Math plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in information services in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare quality metrics
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS-SQL

PREFERRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten years of IT and Healthcare work experience
  • EMR analytical experience
  • C-EMR experience
  • Care management/population Health IT support
  • Enli CareManager suite of products
  • MS-SQL certification
  • Clinical (RN,LPN, MA) certification a plus
