This information is required by federal law, Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or "Clery Act" and is provided by the Rowan University Department of Public Safety.

Rowan University is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Job Description


Job Title:                        Program Supervisor

Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical & Educational Operations, leads with the development, implementation and management of programs, publications and communications for the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Grant. This position will establish and manage a health education service for Rowan Internal Medicine, Rowan Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rowan NeuroMusculoskeletal Institute and Rowan Student Health Clinic.



Develop, lead and promote Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) for RowanSOM that will include working with students, faculty, administration and health educators to ensure treatment is meeting all grant requirements

Provides leadership and management of SBIRT programs.

Plans and schedules the work of the section to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment, materials and resources within budgetary requirements.


Develops and implements controls for work assignments.


Maintains department accounts, monitoring expenditures and insuring compliance with budgets.

Maintains time and attendance records for the department.

Educates staff regarding employee evaluation, training of staff, and related personnel matters.

Interprets and ensures compliance with existing personnel policies and union contracts.

Creates and manages grant reporting.

Serves as skilled liaison between SBIRT Coordinators and SBIRT Directors.

Oversees implementation of administrative decisions and the maintenance of official records of program and related committee activities.

Receives and appropriately handles incoming correspondence, schedules meetings, and responds to inquiries.

Understands and adheres to Rowan University’s compliance standards as they appear in Rowan University’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan University regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.

Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The individual performing this job must possess strong computer skills and be familiar with MS Office suite, desktop publishing programs, on-line survey applications and social media platforms.  Candidate must also possess strong writing, communication and organizational skills. A background in project management is preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related discipline, plus three (3) years of related experience in a business office, government agency or university setting required. Applicants lacking the degree may substitute appropriate related experience on a year-for-year basis.


Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000
