Position Summary:
In the Partnerships for Educational Equity and Research (PEER) lab, our goal is to engage in research practice partnerships that support school districts in understanding and implementing policies and practices that promote equity and contribute to our larger understanding of the practice of systemic change in educational systems.
PEER is currently seeking a part time project manager who is self motivated, highly organized, proficient in Microsoft office and web based applications, and has strong communication and coordination skills.
Position duties & responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Scheduling: Manage and coordinate master calendar and schedules for professional development activities and grant-related meetings with stakeholders. Maintain registration and attendance records. Ensure currency of staff time logs.
Communication: Maintain regular meetings and communication with key stakeholders- faculty, doctoral Students, district partners, Rowan Office of Grants/Contracts/HR/Finance.
Budget/Billing: Ensure that (a) budget is up to date, (b) school districts are appropriately billed for services and (c) PEER service providers are compensated for service delivered.
Outreach: Serve as first line communicator for new partner inquiries. Develop and maintain flyers and related materials. Ensure that website, listservs, and social media accounts are up to date and active.
Resource Development: Support trainers in developing google slide presentations, handouts, materials and resources.
Minutes/Records: Attend weekly meetings to document and archive notes and project ideas, support evaluation and reporting documentation activities by managing and archiving documents.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred experience in k12 education
- Commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrated experience in the duties and responsibilities listed, and specifically in project management
- Expertise with microsoft office suite, google suite, facebook and other web based applications
- Demonstrated skills in communication and organizational skills
Position Schedule:
~10 hours per week
Must be able to attend standing team meetings (Wednesdays, 11:30-1:30). Most work is during M-F 8-5, and hours should be spread across the week, to ensure prompt communication and response.
Zoom during COVID- if and when we return to campus, max of one day per week in person at Rowan’s Glassboro campus.
