Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the position of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Virtua Health College of Medicine & Life Sciences of Rowan University, Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and Rowan-Virtua School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences. The department has been actively expanding its base of activity in neuroscience and is seeking individuals whose research utilizes contemporary techniques to address fundamental questions related to a broad range of topics. While all research programs will be considered, applicants whose work is focused in the areas of cognitive, sensory, and motor processing; models of neurological/affective/neurodegenerative disease; neuroendocrinology; pain signaling/processes; motivated behaviors; or drug mechanisms of action are especially encouraged to apply.
 
Applicants seeking the Assistant Professor position should have a Ph.D., MD/Ph.D. or equivalent in Neuroscience or a related field with a record of accomplishment in research and evidence of potential to develop and maintain a funded research program that complements areas of expertise within the Department of Neuroscience. Those candidates seeking an Associate Professor/Professor position should have an established research program and a history of extramural funding. The successful candidate will join a productive and highly collaborative faculty. The position is expected to be research-intensive and will include some teaching responsibilities for graduate and medical education in neuroscience-related courses. Salary, start-up funds, and other considerations will be commensurate with experience, existing funding, and consistent with a commitment to recruit, support, and retain exceptional individuals. A comprehensive benefits package includes Rowan undergraduate tuition for eligible dependents.
 
The Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and the School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences are located in Stratford, NJ; 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Atlantic Ocean, and 2 hours from New York City. The Department of Neuroscience is housed in a modern, fully equipped research building. The department is expanding its emphasis on neuroscience in conjunction with the graduate school and across Rowan University; encompassing clinical, translational and basic science investigations.

Salary:
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this AAUP position is:

Assistant Professor: ($ 96,673 to $ 148,476) * 

Associate Professor: ($ 114,671 to $ 176,290) * 

Professor: ($ 133,647 to $ 205,469) *

*Placement within the range is determined by the candidate's qualifications, professional experience, and other factors.
