Camp EduAdventures is a 5-week long summer camp hosted by Rowan University’s College of Education for campers entering grades 1 to 6. Our camp adventures include educational experiences, interactive experiments, indoor/outdoor play, and exciting on and off-campus field trips.

Job Title: Camp Counselor

Location: Camp EduAdventures, James Hall, Rowan University

Position Type: Seasonal

Reports to: EEC Department Chair

Position Description:

Camp Counselors are responsible for assisting the lead teacher in overseeing the classroom and supervising campers. Counselors are responsible for overseeing a group of campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment throughout their camp experience. You will lead activities, support campers in their personal growth, and assist in maintaining a fun, inclusive, and positive camp environment. This role requires strong communication skills, leadership, and a genuine passion for working with children. You will work under the direction of classroom teachers.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or recreational setting is preferred.
  • Full availability for weeks of July 14th to August 15th (Monday through Friday)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a fun and safe camp experience for children
NOTES:
  • This position will remain open until filled.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US, and the university will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.
