Tenure-Track Faculty Position(s) in the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University seeks to hire one or more tenure-track faculty to begin their appointment in September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to join the exceptionally dynamic department at the third fastest-growing public research institution in the country, as recognized by The Chronicle of Higher Education. Outstanding candidates with preferred research areas in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and related fields are encouraged to apply. New faculty are encouraged to explore connections within the Department and the College of Science & Mathematics, as well as with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine, the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, and other colleges at the university.
The successful candidates are expected to:
- Develop and maintain an active, independent, externally funded research program
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses based on department needs
- Contribute to the Department, College, and University through service activities
Eligibility:
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics/Statistics or a closely related field is required with a conferral date no later than July 1, 2025. Candidate(s) will be hired at a level commensurate with experiences.
- A record of scholarly activities, including peer-reviewed publications and research funding commensurate with rank.

- A teaching statement that outlines the candidate’s teaching philosophy and commitment to inclusive teaching and mentoring practices

The Department of Mathematics is one of six departments in the College of Science & Mathematics, which also houses the School of Earth & Environment. The department offers the following undergraduate and graduate programs:
- B.S., B.A.., and M.A. in Mathematics
